WAYNE, NJ

This project, as intricate as it was, involved the total interior demolition of four former American Cyanamid buildings, including their world headquarters, an estimated 1 million square feet of total office space. Newark Carting was the sole source of transportation and disposal/recycling of all waste streams generated including demolition and construction debris, concrete, scrap metal, both friable and non-friable asbestos, PCB laden light ballast's, and mercury lamps. Newark Carting successfully removed over 350 loads of hazardous and non-hazardous waste during the of six months.

 EDISON, NJ

In an attempt to minimize their long term liabilities, a major cosmetics manufacturer turned to Newark Carting to handle the disposal of returned and out of date cosmetics. Because of the organic composition of the cosmetics, the customer had determined that this waste has begun to manifest microbes which would endanger the public health of used. Newark Carting introduced the client to a cost effective, zero long term liability waste management program whereas the waste material would be taken off site to a permitted facility for pulverizing, so as to make the waste unrecognizable and unusable. After which the waste was taken to a local incinerator for final destruction. Upon completion of this task the generator is provided with all the appropriate paperwork and certificates of destruction. Because of our foresight for the customers need, Newark Carting was awarded contracts at this customers warehouses throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

NEWARK, NJ

A color pigment manufacturer was closing down a large materials producing facility. During the events of the shut down, they discovered approximately 140 drums of hazardous cadmium powders and filter cakes. Because the drums were old and had been exposed to the elements, at least 25% of them had to be repacked prior to shipment. Newark Carting was contracted for the work and was able to repack the waste, then provided for the proper transportation and disposal in a timely fashion. Thus enabling the customer to stay on schedule with the plant closure.

NEW HAVEN, CN

A lead abatement contractor had secured a project for the New Haven School District and Newark Carting was called upon to find a cost effective way to dispose of the lead contaminated debris.The result was a permitted facility in Connecticut which would take in the waste and shred it. Upon completion of the shredding process the waste material was sent to an Exide plant where the lead was 99% recovered and recycled, and the remaining waste was then disposed of as a solid waste.

FORT LEE, NJ

A national asbestos abatement contractor called upon Newark Carting to provide them with variety of roll-off containers and van trailers for a large scale abatement project at Prentice Hall. Depending largely upon NCI’s ability to move equipment in and out in a timely manner, the contractor was able to complete their task at hand and continues to utilize NCI’s devices on a regular basis.

BROOKLYN & STATEN ISLAND,  NY

A major lead and abatement and asbestos removal contractor was looking for an environmental transporter who was familiar with and could handle both of the waste types being generated on these projects. Newark Carting was the transporter of choice. Working closely with the contractor and the Department of the Army, NCI was able to locate cost effective disposal facilities and help co-ordinate the off-site removal of the waste streams in both bulk and drum form.

KENILWORTH,  NJ

A chemical distributor had located in his warehouse several containers of liquid chlordane. Due to the condition of the containers, Newark Carting provided the customer with OSHA certified workers to repack the chemicals and decontaminate the affected areas. Once the waste was securely packaged, transportation efforts were coordinated and the waste was sent for incineration.
